في محافظة أريحا، حيث تلتقي الجغرافيا بالتاريخ والطبيعة بالذاكرة الجماعية، نظّمت مؤسسة سوسنة فقوعة بالشراكة مع إيكو فلسطين ورشة ضمن مسار سياحي تثقيفي بيئي، هدفت إلى التعريف بمصادر المياه وأهميتها البيئية والثقافية في المنطقة.
شمل المسار زيارة موقع عمّاد المسيح والتعرّف على واقع نهر الأردن بشقَّيه، مع تسليط الضوء على أبرز التهديدات البيئية التي يواجهها، إضافة إلى مناقشة التحديات الخطيرة التي يعاني منها البحر الميت.
كما تضمن البرنامج زيارة دير حجلة ومحمية الكتار ، والتعرّف على غنى التنوع الحيوي وأهمية الحفاظ عليه، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على التراث الثقافي الفلسطيني في دير هشام وضرورة صونه كجزء من الهوية والذاكرة الجماعية.
وتأتي هذه الفعالية ضمن جهود مؤسسة سوسنة فقوعة، وبدعم كريم من إيكو فلسطين، لتعزيز الوعي البيئي والثقافي وترسيخ مفهوم السياحة المستدامة القائمة على المعرفة والمسؤولية.

In Jericho Governorate, Sawsana Faqqua Association, in partnership with Eco Palestine, organized an eco-educational tourism workshop aimed at raising awareness about water sources and their environmental and cultural significance.
The trail included visits to the Baptism Site of Christ and the Jordan River, highlighting key environmental threats, in addition to addressing the serious challenges facing the Dead Sea.
Participants also visited Deir Hajla and Al-Khattar Nature Reserve to explore biodiversity and the importance of conservation, alongside learning about Palestinian cultural heritage at Deir Hisham.
