On Friday, 7 November 2025, Sawsana Faqqua Association had a unique journey that blended nature, heritage, and ecotourism. The trip was funded by Eco Palestine, carried out in collaboration with the youth of Shabibet Al Aba’a Al Ajdad for Greek Orthodox in Beit Sahour.
Our day began in Wadi Quff Protected Area, where participants explored the rich beauty and biodiversity of the Palestinian landscape. One of the most exciting highlights was entering the Egyptian Fruit Bat Cave (Al Safa Cave), a daring and eye-opening experience that left everyone amazed.
We concluded our journey with a visit to the historic and spiritual Holy Forefathers Church (Al Maskobiya), a place rooted deeply in Palestinian Christian heritage. It was a day filled with learning, and a renewed sense of connection to our Palestinian land, our environment, and our cultural history.
في يوم الجمعة الموافق 7 تشرين الثاني 2025، خاضت جمعية سوسنة فقوعة رحلة مميزة جمعت بين الطبيعة والتراث والسياحة البيئية. نُفذت الرحلة بالتعاون مع شبيبة الآباء الأجداد للروم الأرثوذكس في بيت ساحور.
بدأ يومنا في محمية وادي قف، حيث استكشف المشاركون جمال الطبيعة الفلسطينية وتنوعها البيولوجي. وكان من أبرز محطات الرحلة دخول كهف الوطاويط المصرية (كهف الصفا)، وهي تجربة جريئة ومليئة بالدهشة تركت أثراً كبيراً لدى الجميع.
واختتمنا رحلتنا بزيارة كنيسة الأجداد القديسين التاريخية والروحانية (المسكوبية)، وهي موقع متجذر بعمق في التراث الفلسطيني. كان يوماً مليئاً بالتعلم وبإحساس متجدد بالارتباط بأرضنا الفلسطينية، وببيئتنا، وبإرثنا الثقافي.
