In its commitment to raising awareness of Palestinian heritage, the Women of the Sun Association , in partnership with the Susanna Fuqoa Association, organized a field‐exploration workshop along the Battir and Husan trail as part of the Palestinian Heritage Week activities.
The workshop was attended by a group of local experts in ecotourism and included visits to the “Ain al‑Hawiyya,” “Ain Imdan,” and “Ain Jami‘” springs. Special attention was given to the ancient agricultural systems in this area, which represent some of the most outstanding models of environmental sustainability in Palestine.
Participants also discussed methods for preserving cultural heritage and strengthening the role of Palestinian women in sustainable tourism—one of the fundamental pillars for the development of local communities and the enhancement of their economic resilience.
We believe that events like these help build an informed society capable of facing future challenges while preserving a rich cultural identity.
في إطار التزامها بتعزيز الوعي بالتراث الفلسطيني، نظمت مؤسسة نساء الشمس بالشراكة مع جمعية سوسنة فقوعة ورشة عمل ميدانية استكشافية في مسار بتير وحوسان، وذلك ضمن فعاليات أسبوع التراث الفلسطيني.
تمت الورشة بحضور مجموعة من الخبراء المحليين في مجال السياحة البيئية، حيث تمت زيارة ينابيع “عين الهويّة”، “عين عمدان”، و”عين جامع”، مع تسليط الضوء على أهمية الأنظمة الزراعية القديمة في هذه المنطقة، التي تُعد من أبرز نماذج الاستدامة البيئية في فلسطين.
كما تناول المشاركون في الورشة أساليب الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز دور المرأة الفلسطينية في مجالات السياحة المستدامة، والتي تُعد إحدى الركائز الأساسية في تطوير المجتمعات المحلية وتعزيز استدامتها الاقتصادية.
نؤمن بأن مثل هذه الفعاليات تساهم في بناء مجتمع واعٍ قادر على مواجهة التحديات المستقبلية مع الحفاظ على هوية ثقافية غنية.
